Hi! My name is Tom (Tomasz).

I come from Nowa Ruda (a small town on the south of Poland), I’m strongly connected with the city of Wrocław, but I live in Berlin, where I work as a vegan chef and fantasize about my future life in Australia. For a long time now I planned to create and develop this „Uncle Fila” project, I also put it off for a long time. I was afraid that it won’t be perfect, revealing, interestingly. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I was also convinced that I will drown in the ocean full of thousands of culinary websites and blogs. And finally, today, during the coronavirus pandemic (it is April 23, 2020), something has changed in me. I decided to start my amateur, subjective culinary journal and at the same time take a new name: Uncle Fila. Although it was not always obvious to me, now I understood that such a place on the Internet is not a kind of contest or fight in the culinary boxing ring. 

So, it will be my way: sometimes maybe very obvious (cause I am still learning), sometimes very personal (is it not what cooking is all about?), and from time to time maybe even visionary and revealing (who knows?!). Please, keep fingers crossed and visit me here at once in a while.
